American Rivers shapes policies and carries out on-the-ground projects that repair and enhance rivers and communities they sustain. Strategies and programs emphasize river protection, restoration, efficient and wise water use and sustainable, and cost-effective infrastructure solutions.+ www.americanrivers.org
The Choose Clean Water Coalition brings together hundreds of organizations that aim to preserve and restore the rivers and streams flowing to the Chesapeake Bay, thereby protecting the source of drinking water for millions and an economic engine for the region. Choose Clean Water is a project of the National Wildlife Federation.
The Clean Water for All Campaign brings together advocacy organizations with diverse backgrounds, from all levels of interest to maintain and strengthen federal protections and funding for clean drinking water and healthy waterways in the United States. This combined undertaking works to protect clean water for all communities.
NSAC envisions a system of agriculture in which family farmers make a decent living producing safe, nutritious, ample, and affordable food, protecting the environment, and contributing to the strength and stability of their communities. The Organic Farming Research Foundation (OFRF) works to foster the improvement and widespread adoption of organic farming systems. OFRF cultivates organic research, education and federal policies that bring more farmers and more acreage into organic production.
The Beyond Natural Gas Campaign aims to move the U.S. beyond natural gas use as soon as possible, ensuring that gas production is prevented in sensitive areas, on public lands, and in places where communities have decided it is contrary to their interests. Where production occurs, it must be regulated to minimize environmental damage and replaced as quickly as possible with cleaner alternative renewables and energy efficiency.
